Inspiration for this image came from spending a night in the desert 20 miles outside of Roswell, New Mexico.  A very powerful feeling occurs by getting away from the modern world and surrounding yourself in an entirely natural environment.  Though I am unable to explain, a desert setting seems to be one of the most powerful settings to choose from.  With going out into the desert you separate yourself from most everything and find yourself in a vast desolate scenery.  What may be thought of as frightening ends up being a very comfortable and content state.

The character of this image has let himself go.  He has sunk into and become one with his surroundings.  The gear images represent the working of our idea of a machine.  All things working together in a larger picture.  The smaller details of space are in two forms.  One is the geometrical form representing the intricate structural composition similar to that of mathematics, and the other is more natural and subtle.  Both of which are all interconnected with everything.  The symbol of eyes often represent an awakening.  Eyes also represent the myriad of stars, which is fitting for this image.  All eyes are fixated on the main character of the image.

Through personal belief I stand behind the idea that all things in some form or fashion are connected in some way.  Whether this be a spiritual pantheist level or on a scientific level with string theory, the idea that this reality is in some form or fashion designed on an interconnected level seems to be evident to me.  

By claiming all things are connected, the idea of God seems to be a major concern for most.  If all things are connected, what role does a divine being play in this?  Reality for the most part is based on conception.  Therefore, reality takes place in the form of thought.  In this case, our own reality is shaped by our own conception of it.  If this is the case, then this intricate complexity that we live in is created by ourselves.  If all things are connected, so is our level of thought (collective consciousness).  Through a single unified consciousness creating everything as a whole, everything as a whole is a self-evolving collective thought.  If this is the case, it seems pretty obvious who God is.
